FAQ

Aware is a fully automatic machine built for cafés, bakeries, and other retail spaces that brew dozens to hundreds of cups a day. If you're serving a small office, Brownbag's Bliss — a subscription-based compact rental service that includes beans — may be a better fit. (https://gowidcoffee.imweb.me/)

Pricing depends on the number of units, any active promotions, and how you choose to pay — rental, lease, or lump sum. Once you request a consultation, our team will send a cost structure tailored to your store within 1-2 days, and you're welcome to visit our showroom to see the machine in person and get a full walkthrough.

Aware lets you save precise settings — brew time, dose, temperature, pressure, and grind size — as a 'profile.' Brewing from a saved profile applies the exact same recipe no matter which store or when, and recipes created at headquarters can be pushed to every location instantly through the cloud. If designing your own recipe feels daunting, Aware's R&D team offers consulting to help.

Aware is a cloud-connected, fully automatic machine developed and manufactured in Korea, with hardware and software designed together — real-time TDS (concentration) verification, per-second variable pressure control, and automatic grind calibration across 64,000 steps. Remote diagnostics enable fast service, and domestic manufacturing means stable, reasonably priced parts. If you'd like a detailed comparison against a specific model you're considering, we're happy to go through it during a consultation.

Yes — you can book a live demo and tasting at our showroom in Seocho-gu, Seoul (https://brownbag.one/reservation). If you're seriously considering a multi-store rollout, let us know during a consultation and we can check whether a trial rental is available.

You can load two different beans into the dual hoppers — for example, regular and decaf, or beans from different brands — and switch instantly by loading each one's saved profile. If setting up your first profiles feels like a lot, Aware's R&D team offers recipe consulting to take that burden off your hands.

The number of units depends on your peak-time order volume and menu mix (a single Aware unit brews up to 120 cups an hour). If you're rolling out across a franchise or multiple locations, we can negotiate volume-based pricing — just let us know the expected number of stores and your rollout timeline during your consultation.

Because Aware is developed and manufactured in Korea, parts are quick to source. If an issue comes up, we start with remote diagnostics and dispatch a technician on-site if needed. The standard warranty runs 12 months from delivery, and any performance or functional defect that occurs under normal use is repaired free of charge.

Aware measures 39.4 cm × 50.4 cm (42 kg) and sits on a flat, water- and heat-resistant counter. You'll need a dedicated grounded outlet (220V, 3,000W recommended), a water line within 1.5m, and a drain within 2m — if your current setup doesn't meet these, some minor construction may be needed beforehand. Installation is always handled by an Aware technician, and we can pre-check your site from photos during your consultation.

If the product has a defect or malfunction, you're protected under Korea's Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards, which cover free repair, exchange, or refund as applicable. We'll walk you through the specific terms when you sign your contract.

Yes — the auto-steam function with adjustable temperature produces smooth, silky milk foam. Just submerge the steam wand in milk and press start; temperature and foam are controlled automatically, so you can serve consistent-quality lattes and cappuccinos with no barista skill required.

Aware doesn't come with a built-in payment system. If you're planning an unmanned operation, please check with us in advance during a consultation to confirm compatibility with your external payment terminal.

Most standard beans are compatible, and you can load two different beans — for example, regular and decaf — into the dual hoppers at once. That said, beans coated with additives like caramel, or instant coffee, aren't supported, as they can damage the grinder. If you're using your own roast, we'll run pre-tests together to set up the optimal profile.

We'll confirm the exact timeline after checking your site's electrical, water, and drainage conditions. Stores that already meet the requirements move faster, while sites that need minor construction will take a bit longer.

Beans aren't included as part of the Aware purchase, but if sourcing your own beans is difficult, we can point you to Brownbag's own B2B bean supply or our premium bean brand, Cove, so you can purchase directly.
